Ar wing pro rcgroups1/23/2024 ![]() I'm used to Vector's 3DH which will always return the aircraft to the desired attitude I'm really not impressed with iNav's core stabilization in ACRO mode. Straight to Horizon mode seems to work reasonably well, although launching in NAV LAUNCH with a shake to start motor before throw, then ![]() Was windy all day here, but I wanted to see if the pitch bob was gone in turbulent air (although I think there's still relatively few people flying it). In some of my other vids, dvr is present, use that to judge how the aircraft is flying. Keep in mind Hypersmooth does wonders for aircraft shimmy, so don't rely on the HD video. Could go back farther, but it flies well currently, so for now I'm leaving it. Mixer 60,60 linkage very low on servo horn.ĬG is far rear of bumps. My current PID's are: Roll 0,20,50 Pitch 0,7,50 That twin looks great! Let me know if you'd like any more info than I provided on YT. Be interested to heard what iNav settings other guys are using. I have a number of Fboard/iNav setups which are nicely dialed in, but difficult to say whether the jittery flights today were due just to the unusual conditions, or my configuration is not quite right, or both. Be interested to hear what iNav settings other guys are using.ģD printed nacelles (thanks once more to ace engineer Ianda217), around 15gĢ x T-motor F45A 3-6S 32bit ESCs - good for 45A and 55A burst, 9g eachĢ300 4S and 1800 4S Tattu batteries, 45C, 1800 in the rear compartment to balance #Fast, but no performance runs, given the odd conditions #Pitch control was OK, but very choppy in roll, and very untidy turns. Have a couple of capacitors which should solve that problem. ![]() Second flight was another easy launch, but very jittery, expected iNav stabilisation to deal with that, but no.Īnyway, a couple of successful flights, apart from the F722 Wing not liking the BL Heli 32 ESCs, as the current reading on the DJI goggles was all over the place. Must have been some strange thermals despite the cold morning. Brought it in and flew a CTH wing with a Guardian, normally very steady, and it too was a very choppy flight. Once in the air, it was very jittery, using stock iNav settings. Had a mate hold the tail, powered up and off it went, easy launch in Horizon mode. Looked like a great flying morning, just above freezing and sunny, little wind, about 5mph, but the other models at the site were being knocked about in the air, for no obvious reason. Intended to give the stock arrangement a try, but reading about problematic launches, I just went for the conversion. Converted to twin puller as I like the performance and handling characteristics this setup has shown in other pusher designs.
